We stayed here on the Camino del Norte and it was a much-needed luxurious break from pension and albergues. We opted for the Turkish bath on the evening we arrived (€14) and enjoyed dinner (15% discount for pilgrims, from 20:30) and breakfast (€14 - I think this might have been a discounted pilgrim price, from 07:30). The staff were so lovely and professional. The dinner was delicious (prawn croquettes, beef and ham salad). The breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced along the Camino del Norte - they had everything imaginable and catered for vegan / vegetarian / dairy free / gluten free. You can order fresh eggs and bacon from the kitchen. I personally love the concept of Parador hotels, re-using nationally important historic buildings, and try to stay in them where our budget allows. Very happy with our stay.

Nice bedroom, clean and views to the local square and church. Centrally located to visit the Northern coastline, Lugo and Coruna. Bath was a bonus, as was the safe and fridge. Also free bottled water. Also some nice local walks along the river

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel and were very impressed by its charm. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable, and had a lovely view overlooking the old square.

Breakfast was good. I am a coeliac (gluten free) and thus I have limited options . On the morning that I had breakfast in the hotel I did not see any GF options displayed . I asked a staff member and she immediately when off and very quickly came back with a basket with a number of GF options. Excellent service .

We stayed in the new section of the parador, not in the tower--I'm curious if the rooms are the same. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a view of the square. Others in our party had a street view. Air conditioning was welcomed! There were common spaces on each floor for gathering, and we enjoyed the outdoor and indoor bar areas. The breakfast buffet was very good, as was our dinner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was always available in the church square next door. It was close to markets, shopping and restaurants.

Excellent property, great value. Large room with double balcony doors, light and airy. View of church. Two sitting chairs and round table. Comfortable beds, very quiet area. A/C was available but not used. Good sized bathroom with double sinks and bath to soak in for Camino travellers. Delicious dinner and again great value. Central location. Would recommend and stay there again.

I was looking forward to a nicer place during my camino and it was ok but not really what I expected from a 4star place. The room was big with a nice view to the small plaza and both, the bedroom and bathroom were very clean.

This is probably one of the best value paradors I’ve stayed in. Large, comfortable, quiet rooms and an extensive buffet breakfast make for a little bit of luxury on the Camino

Coming from the Camino del Norte into a lovely 4-star hotel is quite an adjustment but one we managed with pleasure. The staff were all very professional but also very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh, and the insignia stamped on everything—including the monogrammed pillowcases—just added to the joy of our stay. The food in the bar and the dining room was delicious. The price per night was excellent, and the pilgrims discount in the restaurant much appreciated.
